2 · Information we collect
We collect information you give us when you inquire on a stone, apply for trade access, consign a stone, subscribe to our newsletter, or otherwise contact the house. That typically includes name, email, phone, company, and the message you send. For transactions we additionally collect identity and source-of-funds documentation required under our AML obligations.
We also collect limited technical information automatically (IP address, browser user-agent, pages visited) to operate the site, prevent abuse, and measure aggregate usage.
3 · How we use it
We use personal information to reply to your inquiry, process a transaction, meet our legal obligations (including AML/KYC and tax reporting), operate and secure the site, and, where you have asked us to, send you occasional updates about new stones and writing.
4 · Legal bases
Depending on the interaction, we rely on your consent, the performance of a contract, our legitimate interests in running a discreet gemstone house, and our legal obligations as a precious-stone dealer.
5 · Sharing
We do not sell personal data. We share information only with service providers that support our operations (payment, shipping and insured transit, laboratory re-verification, KYC/AML screening, email delivery, hosting), and with authorities when legally compelled. Consignor and buyer identities are held in confidence and are not shared across those roles.
6 · Retention
We retain transaction and compliance records for the period required by law (typically five to seven years). Marketing records are retained until you unsubscribe.
7 · Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, and to object to certain processing. Write to privacy@stonehaus.io to exercise any of these rights.
8 · Security
We apply reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards appropriate to the sensitivity of the information we hold. Payment instructions are communicated only through channels verified with you directly.
9 · Cookies
We use strictly-necessary cookies to operate the site and prevent abuse. We do not set advertising cookies or sell analytics to third parties.
10 · Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. Material changes will be noted at the top of this page. The version in force at the time of any given interaction governs that interaction.
